Wow, that's an early one! Your growing season is the same as mine, and my cauliflower isn't even thinking of getting a head yet. I've actually never been very successful at growing it, but I keep trying.
I planted it last year (I think in July). It was a slow plant and it easily survived the mild winter we had this year. I had forgot that I even planted cauliflower until I looked under the leaves. This year I just planted many different kinds of Brassicas and hope they will cross-pollinate. Then I we grow the seeds and see how many different strange crosses I get. Broccoli-Cauliflower-Kale-Kohlrabi-Ornamental Kale Mix. I'm trying to eat healthier and throw the leaves of all these plants into my blender with fruit to make green smoothies.
